Monmouth County, in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA), recognizes that community participation is an integral part of all stages of a project. A comprehensive Public Involvement Action Plan (PIAP) was developed and will be updated in each phase of this project. The outreach program developed for the Local Preliminary Engineering (LPE) phase includes local officials, community stakeholders, agency representatives, and the general public in the bridge replacement project process for the Oceanic Bridge S-31.
