Monmouth County Oceanic Bridge LCDS Update – Boring Program

Due recent inclement weather, the boring program will begin tonight (Tuesday January 24th) and will be completed by February 1st. One traffic lane will remain open for alternating traffic in both directions between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The work being done is geotechnical boring as part of the bridge’s current local concept development project. The borings will help obtain information on the physical properties of subsurface soil and rock around the bridge. That information will contribute to discussions about future redesign or repair considerations.  For more information, please contact the project team at MonmouthCountyOceanicBridge@gmail.com or the County Project Manager Inkyung Englehart at Inkyung.Englehart@co.monmouth.nj.us.
